Political donation conditions

Updated 7 October 2026. These are campaign conditions informed by VEC guidance, not VEC endorsement.

Who can use this checkout

This online checkout is for individuals who are Australian citizens or Australian residents, donating on their own behalf. Business and organisation donations need separate identity and related-entity checks: contact media@deangelis.com.au first. VEC donor eligibility.

Check your total, not just this payment

We are using the standard $5,190 general cap for counted donations from one donor to this campaign between 15 April and 28 November 2026. Earlier donations through any channel count towards that limit. A per-payment limit is not permission to exceed the cumulative cap. Current VEC amounts.

Contributions of $100 or less are excluded from the statutory cap and disclosure calculations, but splitting donations to evade those rules is unlawful. If your remaining allowance is uncertain, contact the campaign before paying. VEC donation rules.

Disclosure is a separate obligation

At $1,290 or more in counted donations to the same recipient in a financial year, donor and campaign disclosure obligations apply. Report within 21 days; after reaching the threshold, further counted donations also need reporting. Stripe does not lodge a VEC disclosure for you. Keep your receipt. VEC disclosure guidance.

Your declaration at checkout

By accepting these conditions in Stripe, you confirm that you are an eligible individual donor, the donor details are accurate, and this payment will not exceed your remaining donation allowance. Contact the campaign promptly if you identify an error. The campaign will review payments and handle any prohibited donation in accordance with VEC requirements.

Donation records and privacy

Stripe collects your name, email and billing address for payment and campaign records. The campaign uses the records for reconciliation, receipts and required disclosures, and retains donation evidence for at least four years. Required disclosures are published by the VEC; full addresses are not public, but suburb and state ordinarily are. Silent-elector protections are managed through VEC Disclosures.
